Hi! I’m Manisha Guram, your Holistic Nutritionist and Lifestyle Expert

Here’s my story. I am a Holistic Nutritionist and Lifestyle Expert with over 10 years of experience I specialize in handling a wide range of health conditions, including cancer, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, blood pressure, thyroid, hormonal imbalances, liver health, and more.

Personal Story

Welcome to My Journey

As a passionate and dedicated healthcare professional, my journey began in 2014 when I started working as a dietitian at Preetislim Clinic. This marked the beginning of my quest to empower individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing.

Expanding My Horizons
My next stop was GOQii, where I spent four incredible years as a Nutritionist and Health Coach. This role allowed me to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, including the US and UK. I was thrilled to make a positive impact on their lives and help them achieve their health goals.

Embracing Holistic Wellness
In 2017, I had the privilege of being trained and woke under Master Coach Luke Coutinho, a renowned holistic coach from Yale University, Canada. This transformative experience deepened my understanding of integrative nutrition and holistic healing. I worked with Luke Coutinho’s Holistic Healing Systems from 2017 to 2023, where I handled a wide range of clinical cases, including:

- Cancer (various types and stages)
- Diabetes (type 1, type 2, and gestational))
- Thyroid disorders (hypo/hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto's))
- Hypertension (high blood pressure))
- Psoriasis and eczema (skin disorders))
- Autoimmune disorders (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, etc.))
- Hormonal imbalances (PCOS, menopause, etc.))
- Digestive issues (IBS, Crohn's, etc.))

With over 11 years of experience and having handled more than 5,000 cases, I’ve developed a unique approach that addresses the root causes of various health concerns.

Broadening My Expertise
To further enhance my skills, I completed certifications in Yoga and Naturopathy, becoming a qualified Yoga instructor. This enabled me to conduct sessions for my patients, promoting a more holistic approach to wellness.

My Personal Passions
Beyond my professional pursuits, I’m a state-level carrom player and enjoy expressing myself through Contemporary dance. I’m also an avid practitioner of aerial yoga, which helps me maintain a sense of balance and harmony in my life.

My Philosophy
Throughout my journey, I’ve come to realize that achieving any health goal requires two essential elements: gratitude and discipline. By cultivating a sense of appreciation for what we have and consistently taking action towards our objectives, we can overcome even the most daunting challenges.

My Approach
As a healthcare professional, I’m committed to identifying the root causes of my patients’ health concerns. By addressing these underlying issues and adopting a comprehensive approach that encompasses sleep, stress management, hydration, exercise, and nutrition, I empower my patients to take control of their wellbeing and achieve lasting transformation.

Nutrition’s link to mental health goes way beyond the reach and influence of simple nourishment, especially when you look at integrated nutrition and lifestyle changes. Research reveals something fascinating – our gut produces most of our feel-good hormones. This creates a direct connection between our food choices and emotional state.

Holistic nutrition focuses on nourishing the body and mind through whole foods, hydration, and balanced nutrients. By addressing deficiencies in vitamins and minerals essential for brain health—such as Omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and B-vitamins—it helps regulate mood, reduce anxiety, and improve overall mental well-being.

While diet alone may not cure depression or anxiety, it plays a significant role in managing symptoms. Combining a nutrient-rich diet with lifestyle practices like mindfulness, stress management, and proper sleep can enhance the effectiveness of traditional treatments and promote a more balanced mood.

Foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids (like salmon and walnuts), antioxidants (such as berries and dark chocolate), and magnesium (found in leafy greens and nuts) are excellent for mental health. Fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi also support gut health, which is closely linked to brain function.

Proper hydration is essential for optimal brain function, as even mild dehydration can lead to mood swings, fatigue, and impaired concentration. Drinking enough water throughout the day supports neurotransmitter function and helps maintain a balanced mood.

Yes, yoga and mindfulness practices help reduce stress hormones, enhance mood-regulating neurotransmitters, and improve overall mental clarity. Integrating these practices with a balanced diet creates a holistic approach to managing mental health.
